As a pilot for over 30 years I was constantly frustrated flying at night and fighting with my post lights. I own an Avionics Shop and even thought of upgrading to internal lighting until I looked at the cost. I knew there had to be a better way so in 1993 we started working with different designs and materials to make a generic light that would fit most aircraft instruments.

After two years and over 200 hours of flying at night we introduced Nulite for EAA market. It took another two years of almost constant interaction with the FAA but Aug 17, 1997 a PMA was issued for Nulites to be installed on certified aircraft.

The list of aircraft approved for installation is now over 550 different makes and models [download]. As of January 2005 we have delivered over 160,000 units.
